Intertextile Guangzhou Hometextile China will once again open its doors on March 18 to 21 at the Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.
The event, together with three concurrent home related trade fairs, caters to the entire home furnishing supply chain.
“The combination of these four events plus their close proximity to Dongguan, Southern China’s key furniture manufacturing base, makes this fair a great opportunity to connect with thousands of domestic furniture makers,” said Wendy Wen, Director of Trade Fairs for Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, which co-organized the event.
A visitor survey performed at the 2011 fair showed that more than 50 percent of the participants were searching for upholstery fabrics.
To meet this demand, most of the 190 exhibitors from Korea, Italy, Hong Kong, Germany and China will feature a collection of home upholstery products on 20,000 sq m of trade space.
Confirmed exhibitors include Italy’s PV synthetic leather producer TA LI SRL, Korea’s velvet curtain and furnishing fabric supplier Myeong Seung and China’s carpets and rugs manufacturer Fuhua (Jia Fu).
China is the world’s top furniture export country, with exports valued at over US$25 billion a year. China’s furniture production rose 25.44 percent in the first seven months of 2011. This growth reflects the increasing business opportunities for furnishing and upholstery fabric producers in the world.
Intertextile Guangzhou Hometextile China is held concurrently with the China International Furniture Fair, Homedecor & Housewares China and the China International Outdoor and Leisure Fair.
